FRANCHISE FEES LEAVE ASHEVILLE
Most real estate offices, here in Asheville and around the country, are franchise locations of large real estate firms. The local offices usually pay a franchise fee of 3-7% from the sale of each property to their headquarters. That means a lot of money leaves Asheville and goes to Charlotte, Florida, or some other place.
PANASHE. FIERCELY LOCAL.
We take a different approach. We want money from home sales in Asheville to stay in Asheville—to benefit our community. At Panashe, when we sell a home, we ask each client which local charitable organization they want to support. Instead of sending a franchise fee out of Asheville, we donate 5% of the gross sale revenue to the client’s non-profit of choice. We’re thrilled to have donated over $20,000 to local organizations in 2021, including:
• MANNA FoodBank
• Pisgah Legal Services
• National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) Western Carolina
• Brother Wolf Animal Rescue
• Meals on Wheels of Asheville & Buncombe County
• Preservation Society of Asheville & Buncombe County
• Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity
• Working Wheels
• Appalachian Wildlife Refuge
• Read To Succeed
In 2022 we made 26 donations for over $30,000 to:
• Helpmate
• Charlie's Angels
• MANNA FoodBank
• Haywood Street Respite
• My Daddy Taught Me ThatRead2Succeed
• Veterans Restoration Quarters
• Habitat For Humanity
• Our Voice
• Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity
• Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County
• Mountain Community Recovery
• Wind River Services
• Haywood Street Community Development
• Open Doors
• WNC Veterans Treatment Court Foundation
• Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Green Side Up Foundation
LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY
One of the many great benefits of donating to non- profits that our clients choose after a sale, is delivering the check. We get to hear more about the staff at the non-profit and wonderful stories about them making a difference in peoples lives in the Asheville area. Our wish at Panashe is that as more people hear these stories more people in the area will be motivated to help fund the great work these non-profits are doing all year long.
